From the voice of TV's Horrid Henry…
In one hour, children who were too nervous to raise their hand end up at the front of the room — pitching ideas, using their voice, and surprising themselves. Delivered in person by Lizzie, in your school.
A whole-school assembly in full swing
In-person workshops & assemblies
Each workshop is one hour, four steps — designed so every child doesn't just hear about confidence, they feel it.
I share stories from my own career — because even professionals get nervous! Then we open the Confidence Toolbox: breathing techniques, anchoring, the eye contact game. Simple, practical, named — and they're about to use them.
Small groups invent a cartoon or video game character together, knowing a pitch is coming. Low stakes, high fun!
Each group stands at the front and pitches for real, with me supporting throughout. I've seen whole classrooms applaud for a child who could barely whisper at the start.
Completely open floor — voice acting, cartoons, anything. Teachers usually have to bring it to a close because the questions keep coming!
A real workshop in action
Back-to-back sessions, full day or half day — built around your school. Every session directly supports your oracy and Personal Development provision — the areas Ofsted's updated inspection framework now scrutinises, and a head start on the government's forthcoming oracy framework, which will ask schools to assess and evidence exactly this.
Simple, transparent pricing
A morning or afternoon of back-to-back workshops, plus the whole-school assembly. A brilliant introduction to the Confidence Toolbox.
Let's talkA full day in school — more classes, more children at the front of the room finding their voice, and time for everything to breathe.
Let's talkBuilding lasting partnerships matters to me — bespoke packages across a school year (or several), for individual schools or trusts.
Let's talkMake your big day one to remember — I'll deliver a 10-minute motivational talk to inspire your children (and their parents/carers if they are there!) and then present the prizes.
I'm always happy to build a package that fits your school — and a standalone assembly is available too. Payment is simple: a 25% deposit secures your date, the balance is invoiced after the event on 30-day terms, and I can raise a purchase order in advance if that helps your finance team.
Booking made easy
Ideally get in touch at least 3 weeks ahead to secure your date — especially if you'd like bulk copies of the book for your children. Shorter notice? I'll always do my best.
Activity packs for every child, a signed library copy of my book, my laptop and presentation — and all the energy to make this a memorable event!
A screen or projector, pens and paper, and a classroom or hall. Children at desks or on the floor — both work. Water always appreciated!

Meet Lizzie
Hi! I'm Lizzie, a professional voice actor for over 20 years — you might know me as the voice of TV's Horrid Henry, many of the Alphablocks, Lofty from Bob the Builder, a number of Julia Donaldson animated films, or the recent Wallace & Gromit film.
My school-based work started during COVID, running online workshops, where I kept noticing the same thing: children using the word “confidence” and saying they'd lost it. I went looking for a book to recommend on speaking and communication confidence for kids. There wasn't one. So I wrote it — and that book is now the foundation for everything I bring into schools, live or in a classroom pack.
From visiting over 100 schools and as a mum of two, I know that the moment a child unlocks their voice everything changes — and I'm on a mission to help schools and children do just that.
